Ten Dorset Mysteries: True Tales from the County

After buying Roy Gasson’s list in 1989, Ensign Publications used Dorset Murders and Ten Dorset Mysteries (also edited by Roy) as the basis for their County Murders and Mysteries series. The stories range from the ghost of schoolboy John Daniel at Beaminster church in 1728 and the Winton poltergeist of 1981 to the mysterious death of Lawrence of Arabia near Bovington in 1935 and the unsolved and apparently motiveless murder of Sandra Court near Bournemouth in 1986 – a tragedy which the author himself covered for the Echo.
